Super Eagles forward and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has returned to Germany after complications emerged during his medical examinations, delaying his anticipated move to AC Milan.
The 24-year-old underwent extensive medical tests at the La Madonnina Clinic and Galeazzi Hospital in Milan over the past 48 hours, leaving doubts over the Serie A switch.

The deal had been structured as a loan, with a verbal agreement already in place between the parties.
Reports suggest the loan fee was set between €4 million and €5 million, with an option to buy that would bring the total package to around €30 million.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development in a statement on his X account.
He noted that Boniface’s medical results had not yet met AC Milan’s strict requirements.
Romano’s statement read, “After medical tests at AC Milan, Victor Boniface returns to Germany as there’s still no green light for his move.
“After 48 hours in Milano, Boniface will be back in Leverkusen today waiting for AC Milan’s imminent decision on his medical tests/checks made over the weekend.”
Notably, Boniface has flourished at Bayer Leverkusen under former manager Xabi Alonso.
