Former Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has completed a move to Qatar Stars League side Al Ahli SC, signing a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.
The 32-year-old centre-back announced the move on social media, expressing his excitement about the new challenge.
“Next Chapter! Happy to be here, part of the @ahliqat family!” he wrote.

Troost-Ekong joins the Doha-based outfit from Saudi Arabian club Al Kholood, where he made 49 appearances. During his time there, he scored two goals and was a key figure in the team, providing leadership and defensive solidity.
Troost-Ekong has enjoyed a diverse club career across Europe and the Middle East.
He began his development in England with Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur at youth level before embarking on a senior career that has seen him play for FC Groningen and FC Dordrecht in the Netherlands, KAA Gent in Belgium, FK Haugesund in Norway, Bursaspor in Turkey, Udinese and Salernitana in Italy, Watford in England, PAOK in Greece, and most recently Al Kholood in Saudi Arabia.
His move to Al Ahli marks another chapter in an extensive and well-travelled career, as he looks to bring his experience and leadership to the Qatari side.
