Tottenham Hotspur have sacked head coach Thomas Frank after less than eight months in charge. The decision came after a 2–1 home defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday.
The loss left Spurs 16th in the Premier League, just five points above the relegation zone. The team has not won in their last eight league games their worst run since 2008 and has only won two of their last 17 matches.
Frank joined Tottenham in June on a contract until 2028, following the departure of Ange Postecoglou. The season started well, but results got worse from November. Heavy defeats to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest increased the pressure on him.

In a statement, the club thanked Frank for his hard work and professionalism but said a change was needed to improve results. Tottenham will now look for a new head coach to help the team avoid a relegation fight and turn the season around.
Overall, Frank’s record was poor. In the league, he won 7 games, drew 8, and lost 11, which makes him one of the least successful permanent managers in Tottenham’s Premier League history.
The team also struggled badly at home. They took only 10 points from 13 home league games and lost seven of those matches. Among the traditional “big six” clubs, Spurs had the worst home record, making it a tough season for the fans.
