Super Falcons will step up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) by competing in a four-nation West African invitational tournament scheduled to hold later this month in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Organised by the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B, the competition will run from February 27 to March 7, 2026. The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the team’s participation in the tournament, which brings together four nations that have all qualified for WAFCON 2026.
Hosts Côte d’Ivoire will be joined by Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal in what is expected to be a highly competitive mini-tournament. The event will serve as a final test for the teams, ending just ten days before the start of the WAFCON finals.
