Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, has signed a two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain Féminin, with an option for an extension.
This decision marks Ajibade’s departure from Atlético Madrid, where she spent a successful period.
The 25-year-old forward has been a free agent since parting ways with Atlético Madrid in June, during which time she garnered interest from various clubs across Europe and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.
According to reports emerging from France, only the final formalities remain for Ajibade’s transfer to be completed.

PSG has expressed eagerness to integrate her into their squad promptly, especially as they prepare for their upcoming Champions League campaign.
Adding her talent to their ranks is part of PSG’s strategy to enhance their competitiveness both domestically and in European tournaments.
Ajibade’s move to Paris also reunites her with fellow Nigerian player Jennifer Echegini, creating a stronger presence of Nigerian talent within the PSG women’s team.
During her last season at Atlético Madrid (2024/25), Ajibade made an impressive impact by scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
Her outstanding performances throughout at 2025 Women Africa Cup of Nations did not go unnoticed; she was awarded the Most Valuable Player title in the tournament and earned a spot in the Team of the Tournament which highlights her exceptional leadership qualities and attacking prowess, making her a valuable addition to PSG’s squad as they seek to enhance their title chances.
