Atalanta have officially confirmed Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach, with the 41-year-old signing a contract that runs until June 30, 2027.
The appointment follows the dismissal of Ivan Jurić, who was relieved of his duties after a disappointing start to the 2025–26 Serie A season — capped by a 3–0 home defeat to newly promoted Sassuolo.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Palladino’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter for “La Dea.”
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi voiced full confidence in the new manager’s vision and leadership, emphasising that the club is eager to continue building on its recent domestic and European success.
Palladino’s first challenge will be steering Atalanta through both their Serie A campaign and European competitions.
Before joining Atalanta, Palladino enjoyed a productive spell with Fiorentina, having taken charge in 2024 on a two-year deal. His managerial journey began with Monza’s youth side, where he led the team in 30 matches, recording 18 wins, 5 draws, and 7 defeats. With Monza’s senior squad, he managed 73 games — winning 26, drawing 21, and losing 26 — averaging roughly 1.3 points per game.
At Fiorentina, Palladino showed marked progress, overseeing 53 matches with 26 victories, 12 draws, and 15 losses.
Overall, his coaching record highlights a steady rise through the ranks — from youth management to Serie A success — cementing his reputation as one of Italy’s most promising young tacticians.
