Chelle’s first assignment will be to lead the Super Eagles B team at the African Nations Championship in East Africa next month.

The NFF highlighted Chelle’s extensive experience, citing his achievement of guiding Mali’s Aiglons to the brink of the semi-finals in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Before accepting the Super Eagles coaching job, Chelle managed Algerian club MC Oran, the 1989 African Champions’ Cup finalists.
As Chelle steps into one of the most scrutinized coaching roles in international football, expectations are high that his expertise will bring a fresh direction to the Super Eagles’ journey to success.
