In an exhilarating encounter at Craven Cottage, Fulham managed to secure a dramatic 1-1 draw against Manchester United, dashing the Red Devils’ hopes for a full three points just minutes before the final whistle.
The match seemed poised to hand Ruben Amorim’s side their first victory of the season when Emile Smith Rowe scored a late equaliser, finding the back of the net just three minutes before being substituted.

Rowe’s goal came courtesy of a stunning cross from the Nigerian international Alex Iwobi, whose pinpoint delivery set up the perfect opportunity for the midfielder to level the score.
Manchester United, led by their captain Bruno Fernandes, had looked on course for victory after taking the lead earlier in the match.
However, Fernandes saw his penalty attempt missed as it was smashed over the bar, which denied them a chance in the first 45 minutes of the match.
Throughout the match, Matheus Cunha emerged as a significant offensive threat for Fulham, consistently pressuring the United defence and showcasing his skill on the ball.
Despite his efforts, it was United who found the breakthrough first in the 58th minute, when an unexpected own goal from Rodrigo Muniz inadvertently gifted them the lead.
This match marked yet another frustrating result for Manchester United, who remained unable to break their streak of avoiding defeat against Fulham at home.
