Gift Orban celebrated his first goal for Hoffenheim in Sunday’s Bundesliga clash, earning his side a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Nigerian forward, who joined Hoffenheim from Lyon in the January transfer window, made his third appearance when he came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute. Just two minutes later, Orban struck to cancel out Hugo Ekitike’s 26th-minute opener for Frankfurt.
Reflecting on his milestone, Orban expressed gratitude to his teammates on social media, posting:
“Good performance from the team, happy to score my first goal for this wonderful Club.”
Despite the crucial point, Hoffenheim remains in a precarious 15th position in the Bundesliga table with 18 points. The team will be looking to build on this result as they fight to climb away from the relegation zone.
