Four Nigerian Super Falcons players have been named in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Best XI following the team’s dominant run to clinch their 10th continental title.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women announced the tournament’s standout performers via its official X account on Sunday, describing the selection as “The stars who shined the brightest.”
Among the Nigerian quartet, Rasheedat Ajibade was voted Player of the Tournament. The Atletico Madrid forward impressed throughout the competition, earning Woman of the Match honours in three of Nigeria’s six games thanks to her leadership and attacking prowess.

Esther Okoronkwo also made a significant impact, contributing two goals and four assists, which proved vital in Nigeria’s title run.
Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament, keeping four clean sheets and reinforcing her reputation as one of Africa’s safest hands.
Defender Michelle Alozie, who played every minute of Nigeria’s campaign, also secured a spot in the Best XI. Her decisive late winner in the semi-final against South Africa was one of the tournament’s most memorable moments.
