However, the second half saw a rejuvenated Samsunspor side. They equalized in the 63rd minute through Carlo Holse, who finished from inside the box after a well-placed pass from Emre Kilinc. Fenerbahce regained the lead shortly after, with Allan Saint-Maximin scoring a stunning goal following a solo run.
As the match neared its conclusion, Samsunspor pushed for an equalizer and found it in the 88th minute when Soner Aydogdu slotted the ball home from a precise pass, leaving Fenerbahce with little time to respond. The draw keeps Fenerbahce in the title race but puts pressure on Mourinho’s side to close the gap on Galatasaray in the coming matches.
