Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, fresh off leading Nigeria to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, has set his sights on becoming the first African manager of Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Franco-Malian tactician’s impressive campaign with the Nigerian national team boosted his reputation across the continent, earning praise for his tactical leadership and team transformation.
Speaking about his aspirations, Chelle described managing Real Madrid as the pinnacle of his coaching ambitions.
“My dream is to become the first African coach to manage Real Madrid,” Chelle said in an interview with RMC Sport.
Under Chelle’s guidance since his appointment in early 2025, the Super Eagles have enjoyed a strong run of results.
