Neymar has been told he must score 15 goals for Santos if Barcelona are to mull a potentially sensational return to Camp Nou, per a new report.

Per Sport, Barca are monitoring Neymar’s situation ahead of a potentially sensational return to Camp Nou for the 33-year-old. He moved to Santos from Al-Hilal in January, but there is already said to be a plan afoot to spirit him back to Barcelona.

Per the report, Barcelona have made it clear to Neymar that he must score 15 goals for Santos this season if they are to consider a move to bring him back to Spain. His deal with Santos only runs until June. The Catalan want the 33-year-old to prove he can get back to his pre-injury best before they will entertain the idea of adding him to Hansi Flick’s team.

The 33-year-old won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015 but departed in 2017 to join Paris Saint-Germain. He did not manage to win the Champions League again, but he may well have another chance if he is able to return to Europe.
