After the Janalzah prayer held in London on Sunday, former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has spoken emotionally about the tragic loss of his brothers, offering a moving reflection on grief, faith, and gratitude.
In a heartfelt message on his Facebook page Joshua expressed deep appreciation for the love, support, and care shown to his brothers, admitting that he did not fully realise how special they were while they were alive.
He recalled spending time with them casually walking together, sharing laughter, and cracking jokes never imagining that God had placed him in the presence of men he now describes as truly great.

The tragedy followed a fatal road accident that occurred in December on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, a major highway in Nigeria known for heavy traffic and frequent incidents.
The accident claimed the lives of his brothers, sending shockwaves through both their family and the wider community. Joshua described the loss as profoundly painful, acknowledging the emotional toll it has taken on him personally, while emphasising that the burden is even heavier for their parents, who must endure the unimaginable pain of losing their children.
Despite the overwhelming grief, Joshua said he remains mentally strong, drawing comfort from his faith. He stated that he believes God knows the hearts of his brothers and trusts in divine justice and mercy.
In his message, he offered prayers for their souls, asking God to show them mercy and grant them eternal rest. His words have resonated deeply with fans and supporters around the world, many of whom have continued to send messages of condolence and solidarity.
