Nigeria secured a place in the AFCON quarter-finals with an emphatic 4–0 win over Mozambique at the Fez Stadium.
In the 20th minutes, Ademola Lookman seized control of the match early after being set up by Akor Adams, taking his tally to three goals and four assists in four games.
Victor Osimhen doubled the lead five minutes later, reacting quickest in the box before halftime.
Nigeria maintained the pressure after the break, with Osimhen scoring again two minutes into the second half from Lookman’s delivery to effectively end the contest.
Akor Adams completed the rout in the 75th minute, racing through on the counter-attack and firing into the top corner.
Nigeria into the quarter-finals for the 12th time, a stage they have failed to reach only once since its introduction in 1992.
