The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a comprehensive list of items prohibited in all stadiums for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to begin on December 21 in Morocco.
In a statement published on CAF’s official website on Monday, the football body said the restrictions are part of measures to guarantee the safety and comfort of fans throughout the tournament
Supporters are advised to avoid bringing alcohol and illegal drugs, weapons, sharp objects, and flammable materials, fireworks and other pyrotechnics, glass bottles or containers, racist, violent, or discriminatory banners
Other items prohibited include: unauthorized political, religious, or commercial materials, drones and animals, large umbrellas and oversized hats, professional cameras and recording equipment, musical instruments, loud horns, and radio-emitting devices (excluding mobile phones), heavy or oversized bags

CAF also confirmed that all spectators will undergo security checks before entering stadiums. Fans are encouraged to comply with the guidelines to promote safety, maintain order, and ensure a smooth mooatch-day experience during AFCON 2025.
