Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Communication to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has expressed firm confidence that the President will win re-election in 2027.
Speaking during an interview on the Mic On podcast on Saturday, Dare attributed this confidence to the administration’s sweeping reforms and policy initiatives across multiple sectors, which he believes will yield significant results in the coming years.
“Policies take time. Top economic experts say it takes four to six years before you begin to see the results,” Dare stated.
Highlighting ongoing efforts in oil, education, and healthcare, Dare said the Tinubu administration had implemented a large volume of policies in under two years — a pace he claims reflects the seriousness and direction of the government.
“When you look at the alignment of policies touching key sectors of the economy, our oil sector, the educational sector, and health sector, and consider the sheer number of policies implemented by this administration in just two years, you will see the development,” he said.
Dare also argued that President Tinubu has taken on the complex structural issues that have plagued Nigeria for decades.
“Most importantly, we have a president who understands that this giant Nigeria has been punching below its weight, he is now waking up critical sectors that others preferred to ignore or procrastinate about. He has begun to interrogate the ‘devils’ that have held this country down,” he said.
With the 2027 general elections gradually approaching, Dare’s remarks appear to be the opening lines of what could become a robust defence of President Tinubu’s record in office and a rallying message to supporters.
