President Bola Tinubu has appointed Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as the Renewed Hope Ambassador, a role that also entails serving as the Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, comes ahead of the national launch of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme, according to a statement released on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, will be responsible for evangelising the Tinubu administration’s programme in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership and other state governors.

His duties include ensuring harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic coordination across all levels of the APC.
He is also responsible for mobilising and engaging the Nigerian people.
In addition, he will work with APC governors, who will serve as Ambassadors of Hope, to promote and disseminate the party’s achievements since 2023.
Tinubu tasked Uzodimma with ensuring that Nigerians are “aware of and understand the administration’s achievements.”
The statement outlined several economic achievements under the administration’s reform agenda, which began in May 2023.
It stated that inflation had eased for the seventh consecutive month, falling to 16.05% in October*.
The exchange rate was also said to have stabilised.
According to the Presidency, the country’s foreign exchange reserves have risen to over $46 billion this month, an increase from the $32 billion and a net reserve of $4 billion that the administration inherited in 2023.
It added that investor confidence returned, with increases in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and portfolio inflows, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
The statement further noted that the stock market was “enjoying an unprecedented boom,” while the economy continued to diversify, with solid minerals becoming increasingly pivotal.
It added that the government’s liberal educational loan policy had enabled over 700,000 students to enrol.
