The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that its South-West zonal caucus meeting will hold on Friday, 11 July 2025, at the South-West Zonal Secretariat in Ibadan, Oyo State. This was disclosed in a statement released on Tuesday by the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South-West Zone, Kamorudeen Ajisafe.
The meeting is set to bring together a broad spectrum of the party’s leadership from the South-West zone, including the National Vice Chairman who will chair the session, and other members of the Zonal Working Committee.
Invited attendees include serving and former Presidents and Vice Presidents from the South-West who remain party members, as well as serving and former Governors and Deputy Governors of the zone within the party.
The caucus will also see participation from current and former members of the National Assembly, National Executive Committee members, and party officials such as the Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, and Secretaries of the states in the South-West Zone.

Additionally, serving and former Speakers and Deputy Speakers of Houses of Assembly in the zone, former Ministers, former Secretaries to the Government of the Federation, former Ambassadors, and former Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to the President from the South-West, who are party members, will attend.
The meeting will further include former Chairmen of Federal Boards and Parastatals from the zone who are still affiliated with the PDP, alongside three physically challenged persons admitted into the caucus.
This gathering signals the PDP’s intent to consolidate and strategise as the 2027 general elections approach, mobilising key stakeholders within the South-West region.
