Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has scheduled a stakeholders’ parley with party leaders and candidates in preparation for the upcoming Local Government Elections set for 12 July.
The announcement was made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Publicity Secretary for Lagos State, Mr Seye Oladejo, in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to Oladejo, the meeting will convene APC leaders, elected and appointed officials, alongside all candidates vying for office under the party’s platform. The event is slated to take place at the State House, Marina.
“The meeting will serve as the rallying point for the mobilisation of our troops towards the local government elections,” Oladejo stated.
He further expressed gratitude for the continued support and trust residents have placed in the APC’s progressive ideals, which he attributed to Lagos State’s significant growth in sectors such as education, primary healthcare, housing, and social interventions.
“We’re confident that the landmark achievements of our local government councils will be rewarded with massive votes at the polls for all our candidates,” Oladejo added.
Earlier this week, the APC officially presented flags to its 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship candidates, marking the commencement of the party’s campaign for the elections. The flag-off ceremony was held at the APC State Secretariat in Ogba.
