Governor Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved an immediate cabinet reshuffle, reassigning several commissioners and appointing two new special advisers.
The move is aimed at repositioning the administration for enhanced service delivery and optimal performance across critical sectors.

The reshuffle includes the creation of a new Ministry of Livestock Development, signaling the government’s focus on the sector.
Adnan Nahabu has been appointed Commissioner for Higher, Vocational and Technical Education.
Ahmad Bakori moves from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to head the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development.
Aliyu Zakari has been redeployed from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Hajiya Musawa moves from Basic and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Special Duties.
Yusuf Jibia takes over as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education.
Surajo Abukur has been appointed Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.
Hajiya Aminu, previously the Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, now heads the Ministry of Women Affairs.
Radda also announced the appointment of two new special advisers: Abubakar Yar’adua as Special Adviser on Nutrition and Welfare Services and Isa Muhammad Musa as Special Adviser on Cultural Orientation.
The governor expressed confidence that the changes will improve coordination, deepen sectoral expertise, and speed up the delivery of essential programmes in key areas such as education, health, agriculture, youth development, women empowerment, and social welfare.
Radda charged all the newly deployed and appointed officials to remain fully committed to the vision of his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda and to prioritize service to the people of state.
