Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State is scheduled to inaugurate his reappointed commissioners and special advisers on Tuesday.
The inauguration follows their screening and confirmation by the State House of Assembly.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, at 4:00 p.m., according to a statement released on Monday by the Governor’s Special Adviser (Media), Olayinka Oyebode.
Oyebanji had previously dissolved the State Executive Council on August 10, 2025, though some members were retained due to the sensitive nature of their assignments.
The decision to recall nearly all former members of the dissolved Council, rather than appointing a new set of commissioners, was a joint one taken by the leadership and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party leaders impressed upon the Governor that appointing a new set of commissioners could be counter-productive in view of the coming governorship election in the State scheduled for June 20, 2026.
Last week, the governor forwarded a list of 18 former commissioners to the Assembly for confirmation.
Eighteen commissioners were reappointed.
They are: Bolaji Aluko; Taiwo Olatunbosun; Akintunde Oyebode; Ajobiewe Kolawole; Folorunso Olabode; Dolamu Adeniyi; Karounwi Oladapo; Peju Babafemi; Atibioke Olaiya; Tosin Aluko; Awe Olufemi; Patrick Tedela; Seun Fakuade; Adedayo Adesola; Kareem Akande; Rasaki Bakare; Kayode Fasae; and Femi Ajayi.
Ten special advisers earlier affected by the cabinet dissolution were also recalled and will be inaugurated alongside the commissioners.
They include: Jide Awe, Tope Ogunleye, Gbenga Agbeyo, Yemisi Ayokunle, Gbenga Oloniyo, Oluremi Babington, Kemi Olaleye, Abiola Olowokere, Akinleye Sunday, and Ayeni Adeola.
