The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to focus on its internal challenges instead of dragging the PDP into its ongoing leadership disputes.
In a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo, the PDP’s Director of Media, Hezekiah Oladele Bamiji, described the APC’s recent allegations as “a baseless rant from a disorganised opposition drowning in its own crisis.” He added that the ruling party in Osun remained committed to governance and service delivery, and would not be distracted by political noise.
Bamiji accused the APC of attempting to cover up its factional divisions and leadership battles, which he said were already well known to the public.
“It is laughable that a party neck-deep in leadership battles and endless disputes is accusing the PDP of fabrications. The Osun APC is at war with itself, and its frustrated leaders are seeking scapegoats,” he stated.
Highlighting the achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, the PDP said its focus remains on delivering quality governance.
“Governor Adeleke’s administration is too focused on service delivery to be drawn into unnecessary exchanges. Roads are being constructed, health centres revitalised, schools rehabilitated, and workers are being paid as and when due,” Bamiji said.

The statement added that the Adeleke-led government had earned widespread goodwill due to its transparency and developmental initiatives.
“From teachers to traders, pensioners to students, everyone can feel the difference. The people are happy, the economy is reviving, and the public service now enjoys dignity,” it said.
The PDP also advised journalists and the public to verify information from the APC before publication, noting that the opposition often resorts to misinformation to divert attention from its internal challenges.
“When they are cornered by their internal chaos, they look for who to blame. The media should not fall for their old tricks of lies and deflection. The APC’s crisis is homegrown, and the PDP will not be dragged into it,” the statement added.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to peace, progress, and people-oriented policies in Osun State.
“We have no time for distractions. We are busy working, and the people can see it. Osun has moved forward under the light of good leadership, and there is no going back,” Bamiji said.
The statement concluded by advising the APC to resolve its own internal conflicts. “Let the APC fix its problems; the PDP will keep fixing Osun,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Osun State APC dismissed a purported list of consensus candidates circulating on social media, describing it as fake and politically motivated.
The party’s chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, accused the PDP of spreading the false list to create confusion ahead of the 2026 governorship election, claiming the act reflected the ruling party’s desperation to retain power by fraudulent means.
