Abass Mimiko, the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate in the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State has voiced confidence that President Bola Tinubu will remain impartial in the election process.
The younger brother of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko said this after casting his vote at Yaba, Unit 20, Ward 7, in Ondo West Local Government Area.
He added that the ball is in the court of the people of the state to choose the good leadership they desire.
He said: “I have absolute confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s neutrality. He will be fair and just, regardless of his party affiliation. It is now up to the people of Ondo State to choose the good leadership they desire.

“I often point out that those in leadership are failing to translate the president’s vision into actionable plans for Nigerians. While allocations have doubled, they are not resulting in meaningful development.”
Mimiko praised INEC and security agencies for ensuring a smooth electoral process and expressed optimism that the outcome would favour him.
He further appealed to voters not to sell their votes.
