Former Vice President Namadi Sambo has reaffirmed his lifelong commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that he remains a loyal member and will continue to support the party throughout his political career.
The announcement came during a courtesy visit by the PDP’s national leadership to Sambo’s residence in Abuja. The delegation, led by National Chairman Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, included key figures such as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara; former Plateau State Governor Senator Jonah Jang; former Minister of Information Professor Jerry Gana; former Minister of Women Affairs Hajiya Inna Ciroma; and Hon. Frederick Agbedi, Leader of the PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives.

In his remarks, Turaki expressed gratitude to Sambo and other members of the Jonathan administration for their sacrifices in upholding Nigeria’s democracy, particularly during the challenging 2015 transition period.
He briefed the former Vice President on the party’s current prospects, challenges, and ongoing rebuilding initiatives under the new National Working Committee (NWC), seeking his endorsement and guidance.
Sambo responded positively, pledging his full backing for the Turaki-led NWC’s efforts to reposition the PDP as a formidable force ahead of future elections. He emphasised his unwavering loyalty, stating that he would remain a PDP member for life.
Other delegation members echoed optimism about the party’s trajectory, noting that Sambo’s continued involvement would bolster unity and strengthen the PDP‘s revival strategy.
