Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering more infrastructural development while urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun Local Government to prioritise unity and peace.
The fovernor made this call over the weekend during a meeting with the Ifelodun APC Elders’ Council, led by Makanjuola Ajadi, at the Government House in Ilorin.
AbdulRazaq praised the elders for their steadfast support, acknowledging their contributions to the party’s successes at both local and state levels.
He emphasised the importance of teamwork in sustaining the party’s winning streak.
“I want us to strengthen and deepen the spirit of working together. A divided house will lead us nowhere,” the governor said.

“Unity is always essential. If we are divided, people will take advantage of us. Let us work together and look forward to a year of prosperity, stability, and proper engagement among ourselves.”
The governor pledged to address key demands from the local government, including road construction, social amenities, and political appointments.
He also expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of some contractors handling road projects in the area, particularly the Ora township road, and assured that corrective measures would be taken.
Highlighting completed projects in the region, AbdulRazaq mentioned the newly constructed Orisa Bridge, which connects Irepodun and Ifelodun Local Governments, as a significant achievement.

Ajadi, speaking on behalf of the elders, commended the governor’s performance, describing his achievements as “visible to the blind.”
He noted that AbdulRazaq’s development initiatives, including road construction, hospital upgrades, and school rehabilitation, had positively impacted every ward in the state.
“There is hardly anyone who can claim not to see your works in their community. In Babanloma, for instance, we have benefited from road construction, hospital rehabilitation, and other projects,” Ajadi said.
He urged the governor to address lingering infrastructural challenges, particularly the bad condition of the Oro-Ago to Oke-Oyan road, which has made travel in the area difficult.
Ifelodun APC Chairman, Lukman Abubakar, praised the administration’s interventions on the Ajase-Ipo/Igbaja road and appealed for similar attention to other roads, including the Igbaja-Oke-Ode/Sagbe road, Panada-Agbayangi-Yaru road, and Marafa/Oke-Ode road.
Other members of the delegation, including Alhaji M.T. Lawal, Abdulrahoof Bello Labelabe, Barakat Atunse, and Nike Ayilara, also voiced their support for the Governor and reiterated the need for unity and continued infrastructural development in the area.
The meeting underscored Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to fostering collaboration within the party while addressing the developmental needs of Ifelodun and other parts of Kwara State.
