Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has expressed confidence in God’s plan for his political future, declaring that he has no concerns about the 2026 governorship election.
Speaking at the monthly Evening of Praise and Worship held at Jibowu Hall, Government House Grounds, Ado Ekiti, on Friday night, the governor emphasised that his fate rests in God’s hands.
Governor Oyebanji stated that the God who ensured his victory in 2022 would do it again in 2026 if it was His will. He dismissed anxieties expressed by politicians and supporters, who frequently send him messages about the next election.
“God’s plan supersedes any human agenda. What God does not give a man, he cannot have. When God makes up His mind, nobody can stop Him,” Oyebanji remarked, assuring his supporters that he remains at peace and focused on governance.
Reflecting on his administration’s achievements, the governor credited divine intervention for the progress recorded across critical sectors despite prevailing economic challenges.
He noted that since dedicating Ekiti State to God, the state has enjoyed peace, progress, and prosperity.
“For those worried about 2026 and sending me text messages every day, don’t bother yourself. God who did it last time will do it again. Let us concentrate on the work at hand and do it well,” he added.

Governor Oyebanji urged the Ekiti residents to remain hopeful and united, affirming that God remains in control of the state’s future.
