Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating more opportunities for women, aiming to promote gender balance and strengthen women’s empowerment initiatives.
The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan in a statement said he made these remarks during the grand finale of the ‘Community Engagement Outreach’ organised by the O’datiwa Women Initiative, led by his Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Seun Osamaye, in Akure.
The O’datiwa Women Initiative has toured all 18 local government areas of the state, engaging women on government policies and addressing their immediate concerns.
The outreach also served as part of the broader efforts to engage women ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.
During a surprise visit to the final leg of the outreach at Akure South Local Government, held at the Akure City Hall,
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude to the women for their unwavering support and assured them of continued access to various government programmes tailored to empower them.

“I see your belief in this administration’s commitment to gender sensitivity. Mobilize and vote en masse for the All Progressives Congress in next month’s election.”
The governor also praised the resilience of Seun Osamaye’s team for e statewide tour within a limited timeframe.
Seun Osamaye, the Convener of the O’datiwa Women Initiative and Special Adviser on Women Affairs commended the high level of cooperation from the women since the initiative began, noting that over 18,000 women have been actively engaged through the outreach.

She said: “The crowd here has shown that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is well accepted by Ondo State women and they have shown that they love Mr Governor by coming out in large numbers here. We have gone round the 18 Local Government Areas on familiarisation visit and we have identified the various challenges being faced by our women and solutions are being proffered to them”.
