The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has firmly dismissed as false and baseless a trending report alleging that the Obidient Movement is attempting to hijack the party’s structure.
In a press release on Friday by the ADC Enugu State Media Team, the National Coordinator of ADC Like-Minds, Comrade Adolphus Ude, described the claim as entirely unfounded and the work of “failed and confused politicians” meddling in the party’s internal affairs.

Ude insisted that the Enugu State chapter of the ADC remains united and cohesive under the leadership of its State Chairman, Comrade Stella Chukwuma. He categorically denied the existence of any faction or division within the party.
“There is no crack in ADC Enugu State chapter,” Ude stated. He revealed that the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, recently held a meeting with Comrade Stella Chukwuma and gave his full approval to the committees she had constituted, including the contact, awareness and sensitisation committee, and the media committee.
These committees, according to Ude, have already begun their work, and the party is operating as a unified entity, actively mobilising supporters in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
He further disclosed that leaders of the Obidient Movement had attended a stakeholders’ meeting organised by the ADC at Universal Hotel in Enugu the previous week.
Ude reiterated that suggestions of internal rifts or factions were deliberate fabrications by outsiders attempting to interfere in the party’s affairs.
“The report that we have factions is the machination of failed and confused politicians poke-nosing in what happens within ADC. We are doing pretty fine,” he added.
Ude called on members of the public to disregard the circulating report, stressing that it contained “no iota of truth.”

He emphasised that the national leadership of the ADC, under Senator David Mark, fully recognises Comrade Stella Chukwuma as the authentic State Chairman in Enugu.
The party, he said, continues to function smoothly under her sole leadership, with ongoing efforts focused on membership registration and revalidation exercises.
Ude announced that the newly formed awareness and sensitisation committee would soon embark on grassroots campaigns to mobilise support, register new members, and broaden the ADC’s membership base across the state.
