Leaders and stakeholders of the Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency Forum (U3) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have declared their full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, endorsing them as the party’s sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement took place on Sunday during a well-attended meeting of the forum held in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area, where members of the APC from across the three local government areas gathered to reaffirm their commitment to party unity and strategic mobilisation ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Moving the motion for the vote of confidence and endorsement, Hon. Francis Waive, member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, praised President Tinubu for his developmental efforts, particularly the approval of the new Federal Medical Centre in Udu.
Waive also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, describing him as a “hard-working and progressive leader” whose governance style has brought visible development to Delta State. “Both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori deserve a second term for the good works they are doing,” he said.
The motion, which was seconded by Hon. Matthew Omonade, member representing Ughelli North Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly, was unanimously adopted after being put to a voice vote by the forum’s chairman, Olorogun John Oguma.

In his welcome address, Oguma explained that the U3 forum was formed to strengthen the APC’s internal unity and ensure the re-election of both Tinubu and Oborevwori.
“This gathering is to see how we can deliver Tinubu and Oborevwori come 2027. In Abuja, there is no vacancy in Aso Rock, and in Asaba, there is no vacancy in Dennis Osadebe House,” Oguma declared to loud applause.

He added that the group would work to ensure victory for the APC in all five elections scheduled for 2027, stressing the importance of voter mobilisation and participation in the ongoing registration exercise.
Chief Eddie Ono Sorhue, deputy chairman of the forum and host of the meeting, expressed appreciation to the leadership and members for their steadfastness and unity. Similarly, the forum’s secretary and former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Hon. Festus Agas, lauded members’ commitment and urged them to sustain the momentum.
Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Chief Vincent Oyibode, also commended the forum for its media sensitisation campaign on voter registration, encouraging members to ensure residents across the three LGAs obtained their voter cards.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Chief Fred Majemite and former lawmaker Hon. Chris Oghenechovwen both described the endorsement as a “bold and strategic move” aimed at consolidating party strength and unity ahead of 2027.
The event was attended by political leaders, party stakeholders, and faithful from Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Local Government Areas.
