A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dele Momodu, has said the Party cannot unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 if they remain disunited and fractured.
He emphasised that only a coalition of political parties would be capable of achieving such a feat.
Momodu shared his views on Tuesday during the monthly program of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.
According to him, “The APC is nervous about the PDP. They recognize that the PDP is the only opposition party capable of challenging their dominance in 2027.”

He further explained that one of the reasons behind the APC’s internal strategies is to ensure the party remains factionalized, thereby weakening its unity.
“Additionally, there are internal issues within the APC, with some members being used to undermine its stability and progress,” he added.
Momodu stressed that a formidable coalition would be necessary to remove Tinubu from office in 2027.
“Also, whoever would contest favourably against the current president must come from the opposite direction in terms of regions in Nigeria,” he said.
