Impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has arrived at the assembly complex in a dramatic turn of events.
Obasa, accompanied by security personnel, reportedly entered the Speaker’s Office around noon on Thursday.
His unexpected visit comes amid reports that security aides assigned to the current Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, have been withdrawn.

Confirming the situation, Meranda’s Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, alleged in a brief statement that Obasa and his associates forcefully gained access to the office.
A source from Obasa’s camp also confirmed their presence at the assembly, stating, “We’re at the assembly now.”
