The All Progressives Congress (APC) has credited its success in the recently concluded bye-elections held across 12 states of the federation to growing public confidence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, expressed gratitude to Nigerians for what he described as “decisive support” that led to a sweeping victory for APC candidates in the polls.
“These wins represent yet another solid endorsement of President Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda, which is steadily transforming Nigeria’s economy and other critical sectors of national life,” Morka stated.
The bye-elections, which took place on Saturday across multiple constituencies, were widely seen as a litmus test for the ruling party’s popularity under the current government. The APC emerged victorious in a majority of the contested seats, further consolidating its position ahead of future national and subnational elections.
According to Morka, the outcome of the elections signals growing trust in President Tinubu’s leadership and his government’s reform efforts. He noted that the president’s policies are beginning to yield positive results in key areas such as infrastructure, economic recovery, and security.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a campaign slogan; it is being translated into meaningful, measurable progress that Nigerians are beginning to experience in their daily lives,” he said.
Morka also praised the leadership of President Tinubu and the APC for ensuring a level playing field during the bye-election process, which he said reflects the party’s commitment to credible democratic practices.
He further extended appreciation to the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), party leaders, grassroots organisers, and loyal supporters for their dedication and tireless contributions to the party’s electoral success.
“This collective victory belongs to every member of our great party who worked selflessly to deliver these results. Their sacrifices and unyielding support for the party are deeply appreciated,” Morka added.
The APC’s performance in the bye-elections has been interpreted by political observers as a boost for the Tinubu administration, as it navigates complex challenges in governance and continues to implement its reform agenda.
