The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has sharply criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, asserting that it is steering Nigeria in the wrong direction amid widespread economic hardship.
Speaking on Channels Television yesterday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the current suffering of ordinary Nigerians as “unprecedented,” while condemning the government’s denial of the people’s reality.

“Every single record has said Nigeria is not going in the right direction. And they keep telling us that the economy is doing very well,” Abdullahi stated.
He accused the administration of continuing to campaign and make promises in its third year, as if it were still in opposition.
More damningly, he highlighted what he called a “mind-bending” lack of sensitivity and care for citizens’ plight.
Abdullahi contrasted President Bola Tinubu’s frequent foreign travels, particularly during domestic crises, with former President Goodluck Jonathan‘s approach, noting that Jonathan did not “abandon the country” or take holidays amid severe challenges.
“They keep saying don’t worry, even if you are hungry, just a little more, something will happen,” he added, underscoring the administration’s perceived detachment.
