The Accord Party has said the 2027 general election will provide another opportunity for Nigerians to unite and elect leaders capable of placing the country on the path of progress and development.
The party made this known while informing members about an upgraded link for its ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration and revalidation exercise.
In a statement signed by its National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, the party encouraged citizens to take advantage of the upcoming elections to work collectively towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
“The upcoming elections provide another opportunity for people to come together and collaborate in creating a strong, healthy, forward-looking, successful, and fair democratic nation,” the statement said.
“It’s time to build a better and more prosperous Nigeria that future generations can take pride in,” Mgbudem added.
The party also used the opportunity to clarify issues surrounding its ongoing electronic registration and membership revalidation exercise. According to the statement, members who have already completed the process through the earlier platform do not need to register again.
It explained that the updated link was introduced as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s digital membership database and improve participation across the country.
“Members who joined through the old platform can remain without needing to sign up again, as long as they provide the correct National Identification Number (NIN). Their data will be included in the new platform,” the statement noted.
The party further directed its ward, local government and zonal leaders to mobilise members and supporters to participate actively in the registration exercise.
According to the leadership, the initiative is aimed at ensuring that all members across Nigeria, including those in the diaspora and individuals interested in joining the party, are properly registered.
Accord stressed the importance of timely participation in the exercise, urging members to act quickly to ensure their details are captured in the new system.
The party also reiterated that it remains a viable political platform for Nigerians interested in contesting various elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
