Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has declared that the state will fully support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Saturday, AbdulRazaq made the pledge while inspecting the ongoing 49-kilometre Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa–Odo-Otin road project.
He said Kwara stood firmly behind Tinubu to secure another term beyond 2027, allowing his developmental agenda to run its full course.

The governor praised the pace and quality of the project, noting that the concrete road is among four major roads in the state being funded under the federal tax credit scheme through the BUA conglomerate.
He expressed gratitude to Tinubu for sustaining the tax credit projects and for other forms of support extended to the state.
AbdulRazaq added that the state government is closely monitoring the progress of both federal and state road projects currently under construction..
“This is Ilorin/Offa new road, and you can see how solid it is. We have to thank President Bola Tinubu for this road project. It is a major achievement as you can see. The project will shorten travel time between Ilorin, Offa and adjoining communities. When the road is completed, the travel time to Offa from Ilorin will be 30 minutes.
“This is a good investment and another product of the Renewed Hope Agenda. It shows that the policies are working. There is more money for infrastructure, and people can see that even within the state. We do appreciate the President”, he said.
The governor toured the project sites in the company of his Special Adviser on Special Duties, AbdulRazaq Jiddah, and the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Shehu Raheem Adaramaja.
He received brief updates from the site engineer, Abdulsalam Onaolapo, who assured that the team was working around the clock to deliver the project on schedule.
“Who would say ‘no’ to President Tinubu after witnessing these investments in the state and beyond?” the governor remarked.
He noted that the reforms were yielding results, with the benefits steadily filtering through via infrastructure spending, social protection programmes, and ongoing efforts to strengthen security.
AbdulRazaq commended the handling contractor, BUA Group, for the quality work executed on the state’s road projects.
“The quality of job being done by BUA is first class. They are also working on the Bode Sadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road project. We’ve been there as well. The quality of work there is also good. As you can see, this is the rainy season and the construction work is still ongoing. I say well done to BUA,” he said.
The governor also inspected the ongoing renovation of the Primary Healthcare Centre in Okesho, Asa Local Government Area of the state.
