The Edo State Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, has reassured the citizens of his commitment to delivering the future he promised during his campaign.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Mr. Okpebholo the winner of Saturday’s governorship election.
In a statement posted on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Wednesday, the governor-elect expressed his gratitude for the people’s trust and support, vowing not to take it for granted.
“Edo State, we will not let you down”, he affirmed.
The statement read: “Victory is Ours! Over the weekend, we made history together. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who believed in our vision and stood by us throughout this journey. This victory belongs to all of us—the people of Edo State who came out, voted, and made their voices heard.
“To the incredible leaders, supporters, and those who rallied behind us from across the nation, thank you for your unwavering support. Now, the real work begins. Together, we will build the future we’ve promised. Your trust and support will never be taken for granted. Edo State, we won’t let you down.”
