Following the Kankara General Hospital attack by bandits in Kankara Local Government Area on Wednesday, Governor Dikko Radda has issued a stern warning to bandits and partners that such acts will not be tolerated by the state government.
The Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, on Thursday, noted this in documents shared with pressmen.
Acknowledging the severity of the attack, he noted that those responsible, when found capable, will be punished by law.
“There will be no safe haven for those who threaten our healthcare system.”
Condemning the act on the health facility, the Katsina State Governor expressed sadness over the attack, which left several individuals injured, including a medical doctor identified as Murtala Dandashire.
Governor Radda said, “This assault on healthcare workers and patients shows how low and cruel these bandits are,” said the governor.
About five persons were said to be abducted by the suspected bandit, says a report.
