Nollywood actor and producer Olaide Olabanji has accused his colleague Mercy Aigbe of being “an ingrate,” alleging that she repaid him with “wickedness” after he helped launch her career in Nollywood.

In a recent interview with media personality Oyinmomo, Olabanji explained that Aigbe’s attitude toward him changed drastically following her rise to fame.

He claimed that the actress, who was once warm and approachable, now appears distant and hostile whenever they meet, and that she even blocked him on social media.
Olabanji expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of gratitude, stressing that he singlehandedly introduced Aigbe to the film industry.
He said, “She was once very approachable and warm, but now it’s like she doesn’t want anything to do with me. It is very disheartening when someone you helped turns against you.”
The filmmaker’s comments add to ongoing discussions in Nollywood about gratitude and professional relationships between established actors and rising stars.
