Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has declared his determination to continue fighting despite suffering a fourth consecutive defeat in the octagon.
Adesanya lost to American contender Joe Pyfer via technical knockout at UFC Fight Night 271, held in Seattle, United States, on Saturday.
The Nigerian-born fighter started the bout with his trademark “Stylebender” approach, using distance control, sharp jabs, and calculated low kicks to manage the opening exchanges.
Adesanya also relied on counterattacks to keep his opponent at bay in the first round. However, the fight took a decisive turn when Pyfer secured a takedown and dominated on the ground.
The American fighter unleashed a series of punches in a ground-and-pound sequence, forcing referee Herb Dean to stop the contest.

Speaking after the fight in an interview with former UFC champion Daniel Cormier, Adesanya remained defiant despite the setback.
Cormier praised him as one of the greatest champions in UFC history, but the former titleholder made it clear he is not considering stepping away from the sport.
“I keep going again and again and again. I’m not leaving. You will never stop me. I might get beaten, but I will always remain undefeated,” he said.
The latest defeat marks Adesanya’s fourth straight loss in the UFC, raising questions about his current form and future in the highly competitive middleweight division.
Once regarded as one of the most dominant fighters in the sport, his recent run has sparked debate among fans and analysts about whether he can reclaim his place among the top-ranked contenders.
What Next for Adesanya?
Despite the setbacks, Adesanya’s comments suggest he remains focused on continuing his career and proving his resilience.
His determination to keep competing could set the stage for a potential comeback, as he looks to rebuild momentum in future bouts.
