The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to dedicate 20 days to highlighting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in the education sector within the territory.
Wike disclosed this on Thursday during the commissioning of newly completed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja.
According to the minister, the initiative aims to demonstrate to Nigerians, particularly critics on social media, the level of progress recorded under President Tinubu’s leadership.
“We will take 20 days to show Nigerians, to show social media presidents, what we have done in the education sector. We are not going to rush; we are going to shock them with what we have achieved,” Wike said.
The FCT Minister emphasised that the Tinubu administration is not solely focused on roads and physical infrastructure but is also making substantial investments in education.
“President Tinubu’s administration is not only concentrating on infrastructure in the FCT, in terms of roads and bridges, but also on improving the education sector,” he added.
Wike further revealed that once the ongoing flag-offs and commissioning of projects conclude, attention will shift fully to education initiatives in the territory.
“I have told the Chief of Staff that we are going to end our flag-offs and commissioning, at least for now. Twenty days is not two days, so we will take a rest and then concentrate on education,” he said.
