The body has therefore warned the public to be wary of some claims online that President Bola Tinubu has directed it to reopen the loans portal and also click a link purported to belong to it.
It described the claim as fraudulent and intended to defraud innocent members of the public.
In a statement on Monday, the Director, Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, read, ”The attention of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has been drawn to a fraudulent message currently circulating online, falsely claiming that President Bola Tinubu has directed the reopening of the NELFUND Student Loan portal, with a link to a fake website: https://nelfund-student-loan-2025.po-rt-al.com/NELFUND/
