Operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, popularly known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, allegedly assaulted a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Jennifer Edema Elohor, alongside some of her colleagues in Anambra State.
A viral video posted on Monday by the Haven 360 Foundation on Facebook showed armed vigilantes storming a corps members’ lodge, where they brutally attacked the occupants.
The incident occurred on 23 July.

In the footage, Elohor was seen being beaten and stripped naked by the vigilantes, who accused the corps members of being internet fraudsters, despite their immediate presentation of valid NYSC identification cards.
The Haven 360 Foundation condemned the attack and demanded swift justice, calling on the state government to take urgent action.
According to the foundation, Elohor was not only beaten and stripped naked but also left bleeding and humiliated.
She was subjected to degrading, sexually abusive remarks and threats of sexual assault, which the organisation described as “unspeakably cruel and inhumane.”
The statement read: “The victims, through their parents and counsel, have reached out to us at the Haven360 Foundation for advocacy support and assistance in seeking justice. We have committed to providing them with all necessary support and resources to ensure that their rights are protected and justice is served. We demand the immediate arrest and prosecution of the individuals involved in this heinous act and comprehensive reparation and compensation for the gross violation of the victims’ rights, physical harm, and psychological trauma inflicted upon them.
“We urge the Anambra State Government to take immediate and decisive action to address this gross human rights abuse, the Federal Government to invoke its authority and ensure justice is served and civil societies, influencers, and all persons to stand in solidarity with the victims and demand justice. Our team are already on the ground working with legal representation for the victims and others in ensuring this matter is not swept under the carpet.
