President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on the family of the late Chief Audu Ogbeh to emulate the outstanding qualities that distinguished the former politician as an exceptional statesman and dedicated servant of the nation.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, President Tinubu delivered a heartfelt tribute during the burial ceremony of the former Minister of Agriculture held on Friday in Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The remains of Chief Ogbeh were laid to rest in his hometown, Efugo, with the casket solemnly lowered into the grave around 1:18 p.m.
In a testimonial titled “Contributions of Chief Audu Ogbeh to the Political Development of Nigeria,” the SGF highlighted key attributes of the late elder statesman, including humility, compassion, unifying leadership, integrity, and devoted service to nationhood.
President Tinubu acknowledged that Ogbeh’s death left a significant void in Nigeria’s political landscape but assured that his legacy would endure. He praised the late minister for being a unifying force who bridged divides and brought people together.

His legacy is celebrated beyond party politics, with many lauding his integrity, intellectualism, and unwavering dedication to public service.
“He was a peace-loving leader who worked tirelessly to promote unity and stability. His dedication to Nigeria’s progress and development was unwavering,” President Tinubu added.
