In a statement on his X page on Tuesday, Tinubu said their conversations were purposeful and resulted in concrete actions.
The visit culminated in the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) covering key sectors: trade, aviation, science, finance and diplomacy.
These agreements, Tinubu said, transform “intentions to implementation” and will open new horizons for collaboration, strengthening what he called a “stronger global south partnership.”
A major outcome of the visit is the potential return of the Brazilian state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to Nigeria.
Tinubu welcomed the move, stating it would “re-energise” Nigeria’s oil and gas sector and create broader economic opportunities.
Furthering the new partnership, the MoUs also lay the groundwork for direct flights between Nigeria and Brazil, as well as cooperation in technology, food security, and clean energy.
