This marks one of the President’s latest international trips, following recent state visits to Brazil and a working visit to Japan.
The details of the “working vacation” were not fully specified, but the term suggests a blend of personal rest and official engagements.
The President’s departure follows a declaration on Tuesday that his economic reforms were yielding positive results, with the economy now “stable” and attracting global respect.
Tinubu recently returned to Abuja after completing a two-week diplomatic tour of Saint Lucia and Brazil, concluding his round of international engagements.
He arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, where senior government figures welcomed him.
Among them were the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku; Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aliyu Wamakko; and Alhaji Ibrahim Masari.
