Prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, and Vice President Kashim Shettima, have celebrated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, commending his leadership, political courage, and contributions to Nigeria’s democracy.
In a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu, Buhari described Tinubu as a key figure in Nigeria’s political history and praised his role in shaping the All Progressives Congress (APC), which led to Buhari’s two-term presidency. “The annals of the country will not be complete without recognizing Tinubu’s numerous roles as an entrepreneur, party stalwart, and serial winner of democratic elections,” Buhari said.
Former First Lady Oluremi Tinubu also described the President as her “knight in shining armor,” celebrating his strength, resilience, and devotion. Former President Jonathan commended Tinubu’s pro-democracy contributions, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun praised him as “an architect of a reformed Nigeria.”
Vice President Shettima emphasized the importance of prayers for Tinubu’s leadership and Nigeria’s progress, urging Nigerians to remain hopeful. Senate President Godswill Akpabio lauded Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and passion for Nigeria, describing him as one of the country’s most audacious leaders.
Governors Peter Mbah of Enugu, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, and others also extended their felicitations, hailing Tinubu’s leadership, unity efforts, and dedication to national peace and prosperity.
