President Bola Tinubu has announced some appointments into the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).
Saviour Enyiekere was appointed as the chairman of the commission.
Making the announcement in a statement on Thursday, Bayo Onanuga, the president’s special adviser on information and strategy said Enyiekere, an environmental specialist, previously served as the deputy chief of staff to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The statement said he will hold the position for a five-year term, which may be renewed.
Along with Enyiekere, Tinubu also appointed two members from each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to serve on the commission.
Like the chairman, they will also have a five-year term with the possibility of renewal.
