Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the former Minister of Women Affairs, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to transform Nigeria, stating that he is destined to lead the country towards a better future.

Kennedy-Ohanenye was one of five ministers dismissed by President Tinubu on Wednesday.

The other relieved ministers include Lola Ade-John, former Minister of Tourism; Jamila Bio Ibrahim, former Minister of Youth Development; Tahir Mamman, former Minister of Education; and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

In her response to the development, Kennedy-Ohanenye released a statement on Saturday, describing the situation as a test of time and affirming her belief that Nigeria is on the path to greatness under Tinubu’s leadership.

She wrote: “This is a test of time, a Highly Spiritual Movement that no Human being can stop. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is destined to fix Nigeria and I, Barr Uju Kennedy will fight alongside him to the last. Let’s be optimistic. Nigeria will be great.”

Earlier, Kennedy-Ohanenye expressed her gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve as a minister.

She emphasised that it had been both an honour and a privilege to contribute to Nigeria’s development.
