The House of Representatives has donated N705 million to the Federal Government to support vulnerable Nigerians during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas made the announcement on Monday during an Iftar dinner hosted by President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he was joined by the principal officers of the House.
Presenting the donation, Speaker Abbas expressed the lawmakers’ commitment to alleviating the economic hardship faced by the most vulnerable citizens, particularly during Ramadan, a time of reflection and charity.
The donation underscores the House’s ongoing efforts to support the welfare of Nigerians during difficult times.
